2008 Toyota Camry Interior Overview

Toyota is back again with its all time favorite model Camry. The most recognizable name from the Toyota brand is undoubtedly the Camry nameplate. It has been the best selling mid-sized family car in America for quite a number of years. This year the 2008 Toyota Camry comes in eight different models in four trim levels. There is no doubt of the fact that the Camry models are extremely good looking from outside. Its beauty does not end here. The interior segment of the car is also quite outstanding, right from the comfortable seats to the leather trimming.

Comfortable Seating Arrangement

The interior of this mid-sized car is well appointed and luxurious. It's generous in size and rides with comfort. The spacious cabin is designed to accommodate five adult passengers at a time. The front and the rear seats are simply comfortable to sit at. In particular, the cloth upholstery in four-cylinder XLE Camry model is coated in silkworm that is quite soft to the touch. Moreover, the backseats of the rear-seat in all XLE models can be reclined. There is more than enough headroom, legroom and shoulder room. The rear seats split 60/40 to allow longer objects to be placed through the trunk. Trunk capacity is 15 cubic feet in base and LE models and 14.5 cubes in the SE and XLE models. Different interior treatments are given to the Camry models that raise the sedan's style quotient.

The control buttons on the dashboard are hassle free. The dashboard is otherwise plain and blends nicely into the interior. There is a wide center console between the deep bucket seats containing storage space. The optional navigation system is efficient and recalculates quickly.

Safety

Every 2008 Toyota Camry comes with a number of safety features, like front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, driver knee airbag, anti-lock brakes with brake assist and stability control with traction control. In crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Camry earned a good score in all frontal- and side-impact categories.
